Teaching and Curriculum Development

St. Cloud State University, 2009-2012. Created, wrote and developed curriculum, taught, and evaluated 25-115 college students in classes for history and performance studies in World Religions; Contemporary Thought in Judaism/Christianity/Islam; New Testament; Theater and Film.

United Theological Seminary, 2001-12. Created, wrote and developed curriculum, taught, and evaluated classes of 5-20 graduate students in courses on history and performance studies in Judaism/Islam; Judaism, Hinduism, World Religions Survey, Performing Arts in World Religions. Advised Doctoral student on History of Religions.

Minneapolis Community and Technical College, 2007-09. Created, wrote and developed curriculum, taught, and evaluated 25-40 beginning community college students in online and live classes for history and performance studies in World Religions, Humanities -theatre, dance, and art history in World Cultures, Ethics. Participated in faculty curriculum development, assessment meetings.

Minnesota School of Business, 2005-07. Developed curriculum, wrote lectures and materials, taught, and evaluated classes of 5-30 traditional and adult beginning undergraduate students in Humanities-theatre, dance, and art history in World Cultures, Introduction to Literature, Film in Society, Art in the Modern World, Composition, Speech, Interpersonal Relations. Participated in faculty development classes.

University of California-Berkeley, 1996, 2000. Served as assistant for class on dance, gender, and ethnicity in culture; created and taught course on performing arts in World Religions.

The Graduate Theological Union, 1998-1999. Created and taught Summer School and graduate course and lab on World Religions and Dance.

Independent Performer and Instructor, 1987-2012 
 *Performed in dance and theatre productions for schools, large and small arts venues, and special events, including Tellabration, Patrick’s Cabaret, the Fringe Festival, Blackdog cafĂ©, the Minnesota History Center, the Jewish Arts festival, Oakland Blues festival. Emeryville dance by the Bay.
*Taught creative movement and storytelling to children for after-school, summer project, and camps, inlcuding Macphail Center for the arts, Tehiyah day school, the Jewish Community Center. 
 *Created and lead workshops and classes on dance, movement, and communication for schools and seminars, including Mental Health conferences, teacher trainings, women’s conferences, United Theological Seminary, The Graduate Theological Union, University of California-Berkeley. 
*Taught creative dance and yoga classes for children and adults at studios, schools, community education, and health clubs.
